The new 8" Toca Synergy Wooden Hand Painted Djembe is a wonderful example of an enviromentally friendly high-grade instrument, beautifully hand carved from finely selected plantation harvested Indonesian mahogany wood. The 8" SDVNP is lathed and handcrafted by musicians local to the plantation, where a carefully managed resource is much easier on the environment than wood taken from primary forests.
A rich & warm balanced tone compliments this stunning drum, with an attractive Hand Painted tribal design circling the base of the Djembe.

  • Kiln dried shell with up to 20 coats of teak oil protecting and preserving the wood.
  • Lathe turned for uniform thickness.
  • Low-stretch Alpine rope with braided cores.
  • Hand selected authentic goatskin head for enhanced look and sound.

    I've only unwrapped it and it looks lovely, but its a Christmas present for a musical child, so I don't know yet how it sounds!
