Model SH1149 - 18"/ 45cm. The bodhran drum is now considered an integral part of traditional Celtic and Irish music, and is enjoying a huge growth in popularity. Thought of as the heartbeat of Irish music, it is a single headed frame drum. Dating back to pre-Christian pagan rituals throughout Ireland, the bodhran is associated with major festivals such as Saint Stephen’s Day and the celebration of Saint Bridget held on 1st February.

This traditional style bodhran is a lovely example of a simple design which is so effective and has such a distinctive sound.
