Review: A good, solid and well-engineered piece of equipment - much sturdier than a flimsy budget stand I bought previously. Buy cheap, buy twice... The only very slight downside is that the "Quick-N-EZ" mic holder attachment only has a 5/8" thread, where I needed a 3/8" one for my particular purpose. Easy enough to use an adaptor, but it would in my opinion be even better if the HA603 dual-thread design (which I've now purchased separately) were fitted as standard. Review: A great improvement on the last Tiger stand! I purchased the 'heavy duty' boom version and was unlucky as when moving it the base was broken. However the five stars also go to DJM Music Ltd. A prompt email reply,with no need to return the broken one and a reversion back to the old price for the original stand so I didn't have to pay any more. The new stand arrived quickly and is just what I need and works great. Review: These are not headphones for bass lovers - they have a fairly bright sound but they are fantastic for picking out detail in songs -> I switched between these and an old pair of shure in-ears and it made the shure pair (which I still love) sound muddy in comparison (although with much more bass weight). They are extremely light but appear well made, and the ear pieces that come in the pack are very comfortable. Because the drivers are so tiny, you can comfortably wear these headphones and have your head against a surface (pillow etc) which make these excellent for travel. In addition, the sound isolation is great, so you can throttle down the volume. Overall I am a fan, if not disappointed that ACS could not squeeze a bit more low end grunt out of these. I have heard that they benefit from a headphone amplifier, but even so hip hop/club fans should beware! Review: It's difficuly to know what size to get, but tried the small size and they are a good fit. Did a rehearsal with a drummer and guitarist (I play bass) and levels were lowered very successfully without apparently affecting the overall sound balance. Like the packaging says, speech is intelligible with them in, but I preferred to remove at least one of them. The neck cord is very handy. I'm fully converted to ear protection, and although custom made ones may be better, these are great for the price and you wouldn't be too upset if you lost one. Review: The sound quality is like turning down the volume dial as opposed to the muffling effect of normal foam plugs. They do not reduce the sound as much but it is certainly enough. Review: Fantastic quality monitors. Extremely clear tones across the full spectrum and a very sleek look. The ability to use them as an audio interface saves space and frees up another much need USB socket. Plugging directly into the speakers for lag less monitoring is a huge advantage too. Review: These are the best non-moulded earplugs I have found for enjoying music. They allow you to hear the music well while not being deafened by the volume. They're pretty comfortable; I wear them for hours at band practice. Moulded plugs would be better for sound quality and comfort but they are a lot more expensive. Review: Having been used to using a basic budget boom mike stand for the past several years, I was getting annoyed with the fact that the tripod legs were getting in the way of my feet during a performance. Review: For sound reduction 20db is the most that you will get without workman's headphones. However these attenuate evenly across the frequency range, whereas headphones knock out the hightones. - Great for shooting but rubbish for music. The other alternative is the squisy foam ones (that aren't much cheaper), but they aren't even either. Foam takes a few seconds to bed themselves in but these are instant. They also have a neat trick that that other alternatives can't do well. You can adust the volume by pulling them out a little. I use then for any rehersal from a samba bateria to jazz funk bands, and for gigs when I just want to listen. Give them a wash out or a wipe with surgical spirit and you're good to go. Review: I am very please with the response and clarity of sound with my new Stage Grand Piano through this PA. Review: This is a brilliant little microphone for carrying around all the time. I use it for talking into and making announcements. I had one before but it gave up on me after about 3 years of constant use. I took it back to the supplier who said it couldn't be mended and they were now obsolete and I was told there was nothing similar on the market. After scouring the internet I was delighted to find that you still had them. This one is exactly the same as my previous one so I'm looking forward to at least another 3 years of use from it! Review: Bought to carry professional photographic and video lighting stands on location shoots. The internal partition, designed to separate two speaker stands is only fixed to the case walls at each end and is not really effective. Since it does not work for me and I wanted to carry a number of stands in the same bag, I removed it. Review: I'm a live music photographer, and bought these an alternative to the cheap foamies so that I can both protect my eardrums when shooting from the photo pit but also hear the music at the same time. When I first tried them on, I wasn't sure if they fitted correctly - whether or not they were supposed to go deep inside the ear canal or not (they didn't) But when it came to using them in practice, they worked really well and really took the sting out of the high volume speakers & bass bins. Review: Wanted a stand to go with the Hercules telescopic boom I was buying and this looked perfect, the H base being a smaller footprint than the tripod base. After using this I wonder how I have put up with using normal stands, the height adjuster is quick and simple and the stand is sturdy. Review: I use these every day in my work as a percussionist and drummer. They get rid of the harmful high energy attack of loud percussion sounds whilst allowing you to still be able to hear what else is going on around you. No ringing ears after gigs! Unlike some suppliers these EAR 20 earplugs come with a cord so you can hang them round your neck when you don't need them for a while. Review: It was well constructed but unless I was a complete idiot this isn't a clip, more like a holder. My Shure SM58 rested in this rather than gripped, with the mic being too slim to be held. It was free, so can't complain too much and it kept the mic in place. Review: I am a learning flamenco guitarist. We do not require a lot of amplification because non-professional, non-big-concert performances are mostly at small venues, and intimate in comparison to other musical events. But if a flamenco guitar is in a largish room with a fair number of people, of course the sounds gets lost or deadened for the dancer and or singer, as well as for the audience. Normally we have a small amplifier not much more than a foot or foot and a half square, and a microphone on a low boom, placed in front of the guitar as we sit to play. So I looked to purchase these three items for the first time. I sought advice at my local music store and got very good advice from them about all three items. I bought a decent mic and lead from them. They had only tall booms and was advised to seek a low boom (say 18-inch) with a longish boom arm that could be angled up to the guitar 'boca', as it would be a shame to have to cut down a standing boom; also to avoid a tripod stand, as these could be more unstable and also that the legs could get in the way. So I searched the net music shops and found a decent Marshall amplifier. Then I found the Hercules mic boom on DJM's site. Its description sounded perfect: weighted, round base, 18-in height, long boom arm for a low, adjustable angle and nice finish. Very reasonable price too. So I ordered on a Friday and it was delivered the next Tuesday -- excellent service! I've given it 5 stars because, for me, it is perfect: stable, but not too heavy to carry around; suits in style the mic I bought; folds down small and compact; has several points of adjustment for length and angle; and is easy to assemble for use. Review: When Planet Waves say "Guaranteed For Life" I believe it! Both the cabling and connectors look and feel absolutely rock solid. This is even more impressive because 1/8" jacks/cables/connectors are often notorious for their fragility. I'd feel safe throwing this thing around for hours without worrying about breakage - not that I would throw it around, but you get the idea! Review: I took a set of these to Glade (electronic music festival) this weekend and instead of leaving as I normally do, with ringing in my ears for days to come, I left being able to hear perfectly fine. The ear plugs lowered the volume of the music (especially the really harsh frequencies) but left the quality still really high, unlike other cheap ear plugs. Review: These plugs do exactly what they say. Turn down the volume of the world, but keep the clarity of the sound. Very good NRR and comfortable to wear for long periods. However, I bought these plugs for shooting (one of the recommended uses) and although the protection is good, the lack of a 'sonic valve' means that things are very quiet all the time, not just during gun fire. Review: I bought these based on a forum recommendation, and they didn't disappoint. When inserted properly (takes a couple of goes to learn the technique), they're not too uncomfortable, the bass-to-mid balance is excellent, and there's a gentle treble roll-off that lets everything through without brick-walling (I can hear tones up to at least 17-18 kHz through them). The reduction is enough to protect hearing, but not enough to isolate you. Review: Regarding the T1s, I am extremely pleased with them. The build is exceptional and the new wire prevents any form of microphonics without giving up on comfortability as well. I have a pair of JHAudio JH11s and I dare say I do prefer certain genres of music with my T1s than my quad driver JH11s. The intimacy and "natural" sound of the T1s is just second to none and certainly something that I have found not present in any other IEMs I've heard thus far. Review: Nice looking, solid, functional low level stand. The long arm allows an unobtrusive placement for an instrument mic'. I have found it particularly useful for a solo performer who needs an instrument mic' at a gig but doesn't want to be cluttered by mic' stands between them and the audience. Review: Having been an amateur Rock Guitarist and Singer in bands since 1988. I noticed in 2003 that I had permanent high frequency tinnitus. In order to try and cure the teporary "dulling" of my hearing after a rehearsal or gig I tried using sponge earplugs which I found were good in the sense that they stopped the post-noise "dulling" were not so good in the sense that they "muffled the sound somewhat. I came across ER20 earplugs several years ago and haven't looked back since. You just gently put them in your ears making sure that you form a "seal" and it's as simple as that. You can hear everything clear as crystal and you can even hear your voice better becase it sort of acts like you've put your finger against your ear. Review: I have small ear canals and I hoped these would be much more comfortable than the average ear plug. Unfortunately they're not. The plastic flange inside the softer rubber is very hard and quite large and I think that creates pressure inside the ear. I'm always aware of wearing them and it's quite a relief to take them out after an hour or so. I have some other earplugs which have only 2 soft rubber flanges and these are more comfortable, so I'll revert to these. Review: Telescopic boom arms of this length are hard to find, none of the major brands seem to offer one, I've looked around for a while. I am a guitarist and do backing vocals, so I needed a boom that would reach over my pedalboard and just couldn't find one. Anyway I finally got this, and I must say the cheap price belies the quality of this thing. Really impressed. I like the quick release mechanism, which is not a dealbreaker, but a nice touch all the same. Review: These ear defenders are fantastic for clipping onto your jean's hoops and having them with you when you need them. The ER20s take off the top level of noise leaving the music at particularly loud events audible and enjoyable. What is more, you can hear what people are saying to you without straining! Speaking voices come through crystal clear and I no longer feel stupid not hearing what people are saying. I bought two pairs as I lost a pair and didn't have backups, however, I since found the others still clipped on my jeans in the wash basket! Review: I bought this as I figured why scrimp on quality by buying one of those horrid cheap Chinese jacks. If you have a great guitar & hi-end equipment then dont ruin it all by using poor jacks. Instead buy one of these! The planet Waves headphone jack is a top quality, 24karat gold plated, shielded piece of kit. its fully sealed in ergonmic rubber & has the same feel as the ends from their guitar leads (basically its one of those with a headphone jack,where the cable should be). The sound quality transmitted through this jack is amazing, no loss of quality, clear crisp sounds & a solid connetion to your amp, perfect for the quieter jams! Review: Excellent value, very solid and quite weighty mic stand (which to be honest is what you want!). Rather strange star-shaped loking nut thingy supplied to hold the mic clip in place which is a bit of a spare part and looks out of place. Review: These stands are OK for the price paid. Both centre column and boom extend. They do however have a plastic boss where the three legs are attached and I didn't realise what a difference to the stability this would make, as opposed to a metal one. Review: This was my first experience with this type of equipment. As a DJ I normally use a desktop mic stand with gooseneck adjustment. I noticed there was no instruction leaflet with the stand but it didn't take very long to assemble it and to have it operational. The one thing which did surprise me on arrival was how heavy the contents are at 2.5 kg. I have since noticed a similar item on E-Bay at 1.5 kg. Certainly well designed and constructed; should give many years of solid service. Review: This is a good idea and has had compliments from other band members but it did slightly break on first use - the plastuc clamp end snapped in two. It does hold very well just with the screw, but would maybe suggest the more expensive version would be better quality. Review: I bought these earphones for their intended us as in-ear monitors. However once I had them fitted correctly, I found that their ability to attenuate exterior sound is very poor, due to the driver part of the headphone letting way too much sound through, thus rendering them unsuitable for the job. I was having to turn them up very loud to be able to hear the click track and other instruments over my drums, which was the exact opposite of what I wanted. Review: The ER20's are perfect to use for going to gigs. The tidy little carry case means you can just attach them to your keys and keep them on you at all times just incase you need them. Review: This is a great product and at a very competitive price. the addition of the microphone clip for free is a real bonus as most companies want extra for this, and you'll even end up paying extra postage, so to have it included 'all in' here is terrific. The items arrived next day delivery at the time quoted (I received an email saying they'd come between 11:07am and 12:07pm - and they came at 11.11am. You just cant better than that. Review: When fully set-up, this stand works well. However the height adjustment is a little 'sticky' and not very smoothe in operation, and the locking ring has to be tightened up really firmly to lock the stand into a stable position. Review: Its early days yet, but i used these ear plugs in a practice yesterday, and i was very impressed with how much clarity is allowed through them. As a vocalist, I have struggled with bad ear plugs cutting out too much of the audio, but these appear to provide a good solution, dampening the sound without distorting it. Review: Although this is a great priced weighty stand, the plastic components let it down. As I unpacked my stand I discovered that one of the plastic adjustment knobs had shattered in transit. The first time I attached a mic, and used the cable clips one of them broke in two.
