Rico

Providing good value for money and favoured by teachers Rico reeds (orange box not to be confused with Rico Royal blue box) are arguably the most popular woodwind reed available on the market today and have been for many years. Rico offers clarinet and saxophone reeds with an American cut allowing the reed to vibrate more and therefore making it easier to play. The most important part of choosing a reed is to get the correct strength (ask your teacher) normally a 2 or 2.5 strength for beginners, however prepping it correctly on your instrument will make a big difference and remember to wet it before use!
